Football Team Struggles to make the Playoffs
The football team faced a challenging matchup in their final season game against Southwest, bringing their season record to 5-4 after a hard-fought victory. Despite strong efforts on both sides of the ball in the win against Pearl River, they will fall short of advancing to the playoffs as they close out the 2024 season.
Men’s Soccer Continues Dominance
The men’s soccer team is enjoying a stellar season, becoming MACCC champions once again. They now stand at 10-2-3. They’ll play in the Region 23 Tournament Semifinals, which begin November 7 at 1:30 p.m. on the Jones College field.
Women’s Soccer Fights Hard
The women’s soccer team has also been performing admirably, finishing the season with a record of 11-4. They faced a tough opponent but showed resilience and determination. In a nail-biting finish, the Jones Women’s Soccer Team saw their postseason dreams come to a close, falling to their rivals in a tense penalty shootout. After a hard-fought match that ended in a 1-1 draw, the teams headed into penalties where the Jones squad battled hard but ultimately lost 3-4.
Volleyball Team Shines with Winning Record
The volleyball team continues to impress, boasting a remarkable record of 25-7. Their recent matches have showcased exceptional teamwork and skill, leading to crucial victories. With the conference tournament approaching, they are looking to carry this momentum forward, aiming for a championship title.
