How to avoid the flu this semester

With school back in full swing, students are rushing around campus from class to class. It can be difficult and inconvenient to put health front and center with such busy schedules, but this is something students must do to take care of themselves and others they come into contact with.

Flu season is approaching fast, but the nurses at Jones College Health Services are prepared with flu shots that are available to all students and faculty for just $10.

It’s important for students to remember to take care of themselves by washing their hands, refraining from eating and drinking after others, covering a sneeze or cough, as well as staying at home when feeling ill instead of taking the chance of spreading it to a friend or another student.
