Campus blood drive receives positive attention from students

From Sept. 24 – Sept. 26, the United Blood Services hosted a blood drive at Jones in the P.E. Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Those who donated received a special t-shirt and refreshments while supplies lasted, as a token of appreciation for their charity.

With the recent hurricanes that have been devastating the country, receiving blood donations from the campus will help victims in need. Students across campus have proudly admitted to their generous donations.

Calla Pitts, a freshman majoring in para-medicine, says that she donated blood because of her blood type which would allow for anyone to receive her blood.

“It feels good knowing someone will be able to use my blood to live,” said Pitts.
