Smith has been elected the 2018 homecoming queen

After weeks of campaigning, Jones College selected Haley Smith as their Homecoming Queen. Haley Smith worked hard to acquire many accolades and humbly appreciated being chosen to be this year’s homecoming queen. Smith had an unmatched campaign where she ditched the traditional stickers and candy approach and handed out pizza and chicken strips to all of Jones College’s students.

“When I first found out that I won, I was actually at work with my mom, and I was just really excited,” she said.

Haley Smith dug her educational roots at South Jones High School where she was also the homecoming queen her senior year. Smith had a loaded schedule with being a part of the dance team, show choir, Beta club, and many other honors programs. After coming to Jones, Smith majors in Biology with plans to become an orthodontist. She is also a member of SGA as well as Bobcat Brigade where she helps with recruiting more students for Jones.

Currently, Smith works at Bulldog University Learning, which is a daycare center that her mother opened two years ago. Once she graduates from Jones College, Smith wants to go to William Carey for her Biology degree and then to University of Mississippi Medical Center for pre-dental school. After becoming an orthodontist, Smith wants to open her own practice. Jones is honored to welcome Hayley Smith as their 2018 Homecoming Queen.
