Three years after releasing their record “Dear Bo Jackson,” “The Weeks” has announced the arrival of a new, currently un-named album in 2017. Their new single “Talk Like That” was released for free listening September 2 on Spotify.
The indie rock band kicked off their fall tour with a salute to their state as they played shows in Starkville, Jackson, Oxford and Hattiesburg with a surprise visit to Cleveland. The group opened in Starkville and wrapped in Cleveland with fellow Jackson natives, “Dream Cult.” They are now off to complete a nationwide tour and share their alternative, southern sound in over 12 states.
Frontman Cyle Barnes and bassist Damian Bone put on a show as they stage-dived into the bouncing crowd at The Dollar BOX Showroom in Hattiesburg Saturday, September 10.
The band tweeted after their performance in the Hub City, “Gonna need a full 24 to recover from Hattiesburg last night. #PrayforTW,” while taking a break in Jackson before heading to New Orleans.
Tickets for upcoming shows in cities like Houston and Tampa are now available on their website.
