Sophomores get in gear for graduation

Sophomores are starting to make their preparations for graduation in May. These students have worked hard to make sure that they finish the year on a strong note and walk across the stage to accept their diploma. With the multitude of courses that Jones College offers, it is no wonder that many students have figured out their future by attending. While some sophomores are choosing to transfer straight into a university, they still feel that their time spent a Jones has been refreshing and beneficial to their future.

Sophomore Caleb Baker will transfer from Jones College to the University of Mississippi to pursue a degree in law.

“Jones helped me decide on what I want to do in life after I changed majors,” Baker said. “Specifically honor courses showed me the set up of what a university class would be like.”

Sophomore Josie Vick will attend graduation to receive her Associates Degree in Business Administration.

“I don’t regret going to Jones one bit! So many people are stressing at big universities in the same classes that I’m taking at Jones College. I am so thankful for JC!” Vick said.

Jones College has been the birthplace of success and, students will be enjoying the fruits of their labor.  Even though leaving Jones might seem bittersweet, the students will always have Jones in their hearts.
