Maybe next time, Mr. President

On Monday Sept. 10, President Donald Trump and his team put out a statement cancelling the Mississippi rally scheduled for Friday. This cancellation was due to then approaching Hurricane Florence. Last week, the Trump campaign planned to hold a “Make America Great Again” rally in support of a Republican senator.

Michael Glassner, the chief operating officer of the Trump campaign said, “Regrettable, we must cancel the planned Make America Great Again rally in Jackson, Mississippi this Friday. With Hurricane Florence on its way, we determined that this is the safest decision.”

Donald Trump himself even said, “The storms in the Atlantic are very dangerous… The Federal Government is closely monitoring and ready to assist. We are with you!”

Despite the cancellation, no one should rule out an appearance or an endorsement from the president before midterms. Hopefully, the next rally planned doesn’t have any need for cancellation.
