This year, Jones County Junior College’s Student Government Association is having its annual speed dating event on the Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Union. This event will be a fun night for singles to come and meet that special someone. Each pair of individuals will be given one minute to talk to and get to know one another. After the minute is up everyone will rotate to a different individual and have another minute on cloud nine, all while cheesy love songs are playing in the background to make things that much more romantic.
The hosts for this event will be couples Austin Mullins and Kameryn Walker as well as Tyler Rouse and Lauryn Jemison. These couples will be directing the speed dating process and playing the music for the event.
Some encouragement from Austin Mullins: “You never know what great person you may meet! Whether it be a new best friend or a potential relationship. It’s going to be awesome and fun and a great tool for meeting people.”
