Ribbon cutting ceremony to be held for Pedestrian Plaza

As many students have noticed, JCJC has been busy improving campus through various construction projects. There is currently work being done on the road between the Terrell Tisdale Library and humanities building. The purpose of this project is to improve the appearance and convenience of the walkway. Although it may seem inconvenient at present, by the time it is completed it will have been worth the wait.

In the fall of 2016, a similar project was underway which lasted the majority of the school year. A brick walkway featuring flower beds and a fountain was placed between the cafeteria and the chapel. Just in time for spring events, such as graduation, the first phase of the Pedestrian Plaza Project was completed. The official ribbon cutting for phase one will be held on Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. This project has been made possible through a grant by MDOT. The ceremony will be held at the C.L. Neil Student Center.
