MACCC games rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns

In the juco ranks, the MACCC conference has had to postpone and cancel games in the past few weeks due to COVID-19 outbreaks like Northwest vs Mississippi Delta.  The first game was slated to begin opening day on Oct.1 but has since been moved to November 7 at 2:30 p.m.

With the number of players that were in quarantine,  MDCC felt it would be safer to postpone the game to another date. Mississippi Delta has had another game postponed due to COVID-19  against Holmes which was scheduled to play Saturday Oct.17. Holmes suspended football operations for two weeks in order to follow proper COVID-19 protocols, resulting in the postponement of their Oct.17 outing. All of Holmes’ players left campus and had class in a virtual format. Holmes football operations resumed Friday, Oct.16.

Mississippi Gulf Coast vs Copiah-Lincoln has been postponed due to COVID-19. The game was originally scheduled for October 15 but has now been rescheduled to Thursday, November 19. Co-Lin football operations was suspended for two weeks in response to COVID.

The Jones vs Mississippi Gulf Coast game, originally scheduled for Nov. 5, has been postponed to Nov. 24 due to COVID-19 concerns at Gulf Coast.

Still on schedule for play is the Nov. 12 Homecoming game for Jones. The Bobcats go up against Co-Lin at 7 p.m.
