Lady Bobcats season comes to an end in Lubbock

After winning their third consecutive MACJC state championship and Region 23 title, the Lady Bobcats’ season came to an end in the National tournament. The Lady Bobcats fell to Trinity Valley Community College on March 21 to the score of 69-78.

Coming into the National tournament, Jones was seeded as the fourth-ranked team in the tournament. The Lady Bobcats’ leading scorer in the National semifinal was Alexis Tolefree; she scored 18 points in the loss.

In the final minutes of the game, the Lady Cardinals put up a 12-0 scoring run to close the Lady Bobcats late in the second half.
