The JCJC women’s basketball team has shown themselves to be a force to be reckoned with. The Lady Bobcats have put together a dominating six-game winning streak with the Bobcats outscoring their opponents by 10 points or more.
In the Lady Bobcats’ home game on Jan. 20 against Pearl River Community College, the women came away with the victory with the score of 92-61. The Bobcats were led in scoring by sophomore guard Alexis Tolefree with 26 points. After the win against Pearl River, the Bobcats traveled to the campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to face the Lady Bulldogs on Jan. 22. The Bobcats beat the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 86-54. The Lady Bobcats’ leading scorer against MGCCC again was Tolefree. Tolefree put up 23 points in the Bobcats’ impressive win.
