Jones County Junior College battles against Mississippi Delta

Last Thursday night, Jones County Junior College and new head coach, Steve Buckley, traveled to play Mississippi Delta. They marched into the Delta knowing that they have recently been moved into NJCAA poll at number 15. The Bobcats hope to only advance this number as they continue throughout their 2016 football season. JCJC was actually only one of the six  in the MACJC school rankings last week.

Only a few of the Mississippi Delta football team was able to play due to an event that took place in last year’s season. However, we used this to our advantage as we battled a breath taking game. JCJC battled with every ounce in them to make sure they gave everything they had when taking on Mississippi Delta, with the final score being 51-3. We should be very proud of our team for not only playing a great game, but for also keeping a sportsmanlike conduct and leaving it all on the field.

JCJC next hosts Coahoma Sept. 15.
