Jones College soccer wins championship

Last week Jones College made history on the Bobcat Soccer Field. Both the men and women’s teams won the MACJC championships. It was the first state championship for the men and the third for the women.

The JC boys ensured their spot in the NJCAA District playoffs after winning against Southwest.

The game ended when Thomas Carlile, JC sophomore, scored 34 seconds into overtime. The final score was 2-1.

Jones made the school record by 14-2 wins in a season.

The Bobcat teams will go to Texas to play Nov. 3. The men will play Tyler Junior College in the NJCAA South District playoff game. The women will play the Region 14 Champion for the NJCAA South District championship. Visit www.jcjcathletics.com for more information.
