The Jones men’s basketball team started their season off winning their first two games with outstanding scores (115-82, 114-69). They played on Monday, Nov. 5, against South Louisiana Prep at A.B. Howard Gymnasium,  at 6 p.m. The game started off with David McCoy (sophomore), Galen Alexander (sophomore), Larry Griffin (sophomore), Shadarrion Allen (freshman), and Kenneth Rogers (freshman).
In the beginning, the game was tied 9-9 until Alexander gave the Bobcats a lead to the basket. At the end of the half there was a dunk by Allen that set the crowd on fire. Then a 3-pointer was hit and the crowd went wild. At the end of the first half the Bobcats were in the lead with the score being 47-26. Overall the whole team did well and showed out on the offensive or defensive side.
The Bobcats will play Thursday Nov. 8, in Goodman against Holmes Community College. The Lady Bobcats will play first at 6 p.m., and the men will play at 8 p.m. Come out and support your Bobcats as they take on the Bulldogs.
