Vladmir Putin wins Russian election in a landslide

The Russian presidential election took place Sunday morning, March 18, 2018. Russia’s current president, Vladimir Putin, ran virtually unopposed. The opposing candidate, Alexei Navalny, was barred from the race because of pending federal investigations. With 76.9 percent of the votes, Putin won the election; however, communist party candidate, Pavel Grudinin, came in at a striking 11.79 percent.

Russian opposition activists are speculating several cases of vote rigging. There is video footage of several voters and voting administrators placing multiple ballots in boxes. If this is true, that means the election was tampered with.  There is more information about the election and possible meddling below.
