Clinton shows admiration for Oscar de la Renta at his dedication

Late designer Óscar Arístides Renta Fiallo, professionally known as “Oscar de la Renta,” has been placed onto U.S. Postal Service stamps. The placement had several admirers coming together, one of which was Hillary Clinton, to show their tribute to Fiallo.

The former presidential nominee discussed her experience and admiration of Fiallo at the dedication, while wearing a bright pink dress he designed. After Clinton discussed her experience at the dedication, she praised him for his status as an immigrant of the Dominican Republic.

‘‘Let there be many, many more immigrants with the love of America that Oscar de la Renta exemplified every single day,” said Clinton.

In my opinion, I support her attitude towards Fiallo and other immigrants. The United States is a big melting pot and should allow immigrants to come in and follow their dreams and aspirations. I believe that we should continue allowing immigrants in because we may one day have another Fiallo in the mix.
