Beto O’Rourke’s campaign gets creative

Recently the former candidate for Texas State Senate, Beto O’Rourke, announced his campaign for the presidency. He was a promising candidate for the senate, but he lost to Ted Cruz. Since then the news around his campaign has gotten a little creative.

This week, a large piece of artwork depicting O’Rourke has appeared in North Austin, Texas. The artwork spans two acres and was created using gravel, sand, rock and greenery.

In an interview with Bloomberg, the artist, Stan Herd, said, “We’re trying to tell the story of this amazing man from Texas making a difference in the national climate.”

This piece has excited many on O’Rourke’s campaign trail. It may be a little strange, but artwork may be the thing that gets the constituents on his side.
