Jones College music instructor Dr. Lindsey Keay was named the JC 2018-2019 Mississippi Humanities Teacher of the Year.
Keay was honored by the Mississippi Humanities Council Tuesday, March 5 and also performed a free flute performance titled “In the Zone: Flow of Music” in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Auditorium.
Dean of Academic Affairs Jason Dedwylder said that Keay is an invaluable asset to Jones and that she is devoted to academic achievement and willing to go beyond to motivate students.
Keay has devoted her time and energy to ensuring that each of her students are doing their best and has worked hard to earn the recognition she has received this school year.
