Jones County Junior College’s annual Halloween events will be Monday, Oct. 31 from 4:30-10 p.m.
Student organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa and Student Government Association will be set up around the Terrell Tisdale Library and C.L. Neill Student Center to give children up to age 12 an opportunity to play games and trick-or-treat. This event, “Treats in the Streets,” will last from 4:30-7 p.m. with free admission.
The night will include a costume contest for children at 5:30 p.m. and for JCJC students at 6:30 p.m. Both of these contests will be in front of the Visual Arts building.
There will be inflatables and snacks for younger children in front of Jones Hall, provided by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation.
The JCJC cafeteria will be open to anyone in attendance from 4:30-7:30 p.m. for a cost of $4.63 for children ages 4-9 and $6.50 for all ages above. The Bobcat Grill will also be open until 8 p.m. and Taco Bell until 9 p.m., both of which are located in the Student Union behind the gym.
