Jones County Junior College will present its annual Black History program in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Building Feb. 21 at 10:15 a.m. The focus of the event will be to exemplify the principles African-Americans lived by to overcome the difficulties in their lives, how they reached their level of success, and how people can learn from them and apply those principles in their own lives.

The event will begin with a slideshow featuring famous African-Americans. Guest speaker will be Rosalyn Howard, who will share her life experiences. The event will end with an open question-and-answer between the audience and Howard.

The coordinator, JCJC Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Samuel Jones, encourages everyone on campus to attend the program.

“Don’t come looking for history but to learn something from it,” said Jones.
