The 2018-2019 school year has officially kicked off and so have tests, homework assignments and other tasks to keep students busy. To avoid falling behind in any classes, students should take advantage of the free tutoring services on campus.
General Chemistry I tutoring is held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. and will end at 6:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the Harris Science Building. Biology services include A&P and Microbiology on Mondays and Thursdays from noon until 1:30 p.m., also in Room 101 in the Harris Building.
Teachers also have tutoring hours posted in the classrooms, along with their office hours for those who seek extra help in a specific subject.
Sigma Kappa Delta, the English Honor Society, offers tutoring. Students must sign up and choose a time and date. A tutor that is free on that day will meet with the student in the Student Success Center and proceed with the session.
Furthermore, the Student Success Center offers tutoring services for all subjects and usually has a tutor or someone who can set up a meeting with a tutor at all times of the week.
With free tutoring services on campus, there is no reason why every student at Jones should not be able to attain a full understanding of a subject or class.
