JCJC Homecoming takes place this week

Faculty at Jones County Junior College have planned several events to celebrate Homecoming on Oct. 15.

The homecoming game will be at 2 p.m. against Pearl River Community College.

Festivities for students will start at 10 a.m. with a homecoming parade, which will begin outside the Terrell Tisdale Library. At 10:45 a.m., a pep rally will be held in front of the C.L. Neill Student Center.

At 11:30 a.m., students are invited to tailgate under the tents at Sim Cooley Field. The cost for tailgating is $10 per student. Students can reserve spaces by calling (601) 477-4145. At 1:30 p.m., a pre-game band show will be held in the stadium, followed by the game at 2 p.m.

Faculty are encouraging students to use the hashtag “#theresnoplacelikejones” to show support for the team and celebrate.
