Jones College held the annual Jones Most Beautiful Pageant November 8 in the newly renovated M.P. Bush Fine Arts Building. This year, 32 contestants competed for the title.
Summer Boyd, Jones Most Beautiful 2023, returned to the stage to crown this year’s winner, Rylee Howse.
Howse has been competing in pageants since she was a baby. She believes that her experiences have allowed her to reach this point.
“I’ve been doing pageants since I was six months old just locally and every year in school,” Howse said. “I love dress shopping, getting ready, and catching up with old friends backstage. Pageants make me feel so beautiful and confident. They are always so much fun.”
Howse said she is honored to represent Jones College as Most Beautiful.
“I am still in complete shock that I was crowned Most Beautiful,” Howse said. “There were 32 beautiful contestants, and I am filled with so much joy and gratitude to have been selected to represent this school.”
Other winners include First Alternate Emma Grace Buckley, Second Alternate Molly Griffin, Third Alternate Anna Bolivar and Fourth Alternate Breanna Harrison. Other contestants in the Top 10 were Isabelle Halley, Bailie Bishop, Halle Myrick, Madeline Smith and Mary Taylor Jones.
Bailie Bishop was named the Essay Contest Winner and Most Photogenic. Breanna Harrison was voted People’s Choice.
Entertainment for the night was provided by Jones Most Beautiful 2021 Caidyn Crowder and Jones On Stage. Crowder also served as Emcee for the evening. The pageant director was Emily Sullivan. The pageant is a fundraiser by Jones College Student Publications to fund the annual Madge Maily Scholarship, and is now also a fundraiser for Student Affairs. Awards were presented by Summer Boyd, Taylor Garrettson and Kadin Johnston.
