There is a new art exhibit located in Eula Bass Lewis Gallery on the first floor of the Visual Arts Building. The exhibition began Monday, Oct. 2 and will be at JCJC through Oct. 27, 2017. The art exhibit features a collection of photographs entitled “Finding Mississippi” by Betty Press, a renowned photographer.
Betty Press is an award-winning photographer; her art work is exhibited around the world. She created the collection “Finding Mississippi” as a part of her current project, Mississippi: The Place I Live, to better understand MS, where she has relocated to. Press captured images all across Mississippi including places like Clarksdale, Greenville and even Hattiesburg. There is also a photograph taken here in Ellisville, MS.
