College is, no doubt, a fun and exciting time, but it can also come with lots of stress.
According to an article on college.usatoday.com, depression is at an all time high for college students. Dealing with depression in college is especially hard because it can affect concentration, motivation, sleep habits and eating habits. The National Institute of Mental Health says that some signs of depression are persistent sadness, anxiety, loss of interest and difficulty concentrating. Knowing the signs of depression and knowing how to seek help can save a life. A study at Emory University showed that more than 1,000 college students commit suicide every year.
