JCJC speaks out against domestic violence

On March 7, Jones County Junior College held a “No More,” campaign led by Sarah Jones. This campaign helps to raise awareness about domestic abuse and sexual assault among both men and women. Students and faculty were given the opportunity to learn about how relationship abuse affects the people involved. Participants wrote down on a sheet of paper what they wanted “No More” of and were given information on how to identify signs of domestic abuse and what to do to help those in need. Events like this can do more than just raise awareness about a problem, they can also help people in bad situations find a way to speak out and find help. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1−800−799−7233.
