Mitchell Farms offers many fall activities perfect for a weekend spent with family and friends.
Mitchell Farms is located at 650 Leaf River Church Road in Collins, Mississippi.  It is approximately 1,500 acres and they currently farm corn, wheat, soybeans, peanuts and pine plantations. In addition to the agricultural produce they farm, they also have Mississippi’s largest pumpkin patch from September 30 – November 5.
Admission is $12 per person ages 2 and older. Admission includes a wagon ride tour of the farm, a 6-acre corn maze, and a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Some other fall activities available at the farm are the culvert slide, Cinderella Pumpkin, sunflower field, their Giant Jumping pillow and other unique children’s play areas. There is also gem mining and a ride on the Pumpkin Express Train for an additional fee.
Mitchell Farms also has adult farm tours which include visiting the three log cabins on the farm. The cabins are filled with turn of the century antiques, wood carvings, paintings, tools and other artifacts.
Mitchell Farms will be open until November 5 for fall activities. The hours of operation for the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. For more information call Mitchell Farm’s office at 601-765-8609 and for reservations call 601-606-0762.
