ADN program requirements must be met soon for fall

Students interested in the associate degree nursing program at Jones County Junior College need to complete the requirements and have testing scores submitted by March 1 for fall 2017 admission. These requirements include an ACT composite score of 18, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, a “C” or better in all courses within the nursing curriculum, a copy of his or her transcript and a minimum score of 58.7 on the ATI TEAS entrance exam.

Acceptance to the ADN class is contingent on students submitting their high school transcripts or GED, ACT score and official college transcripts. If students have attended other colleges, those transcripts are expected to be in the packet as well.

Students are evaluated on a competitive basis, so if he or she is not accepted for the fall program, the ATI TEAS will still be valid for the next semester for students who wish to reapply. Students who have not registered in time for this semester can make an account for the TEAS test at www.atitesting.com and plan for next semester’s October deadline.
