Considerably the most watched show in America, “The Walking Dead” returns for its eighth season Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. The post-apocalyptic zombie series that has captivated viewers since 2010 is not only kicking off this season with the protagonists engaging in what is quite literally the fight of their lives, but also catalyzes something more sentimental to the fans. The first episode of TWD’s eighth season is the 100th episode of the entire series.
With an increasingly impressive kick-off record, the centennial marking is sure to be one for the history books. “The Walking Dead” has never been known to disappoint or hold back when it comes to shocking moments, so this milestone will definitely harbor at least a few show-stoppers, mind-blowers, and tear-jerkers.
Walker fans are not the only people anticipating the upcoming season premiere, it seems. To celebrate the show’s highlight of the year, the cast released a video to AMC in which they thank the fans for supporting the growth of the series and for making this achievement possible. With the devoted fans and the sincere actors, this season premiere will be legendary.
