On Nov. 22 a new movie came to theaters during Thanksgiving. Based on Charles Dickens’ life, “The Man Who Invented Christmas” takes viewers on a magical journey to see just how the famous story, “A Christmas Carol,” was written. Characters such as Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim were real-life inspirations Dickens mixed with his unbelievable imagination. The movie shows the struggles Dickens faced in order to create this timeless story.
The biography, comedy and drama was directed by Bharat Nalluri with screenwriter Susan Coyne. Charles Dickens is played by Dan Stevens, who is known for his most recent role in “Beauty and the Beast.” Other well-known celebrities include Christopher Plummer, who plays Ebenezer Scrooge, and Simon Callow, who plays Leech.
The movie is still in theaters and would be a wonderful film to enjoy with families for the holidays.
