“The Crown” rules over Netflix for another season

Returning for its second season, “The Crown” will be available on Netflix, Friday, Dec. 8. There will be 10 brand-new episodes starting off about seven to eight years after the first season’s finale.

Claire Foy, who plays Queen Elizabeth II, explains how this upcoming season will mainly focus on “the outside world.”

On express.co.uk, Foy states, “It’s very much about Phillip and his impact on the crown, and their marriage … It’s very much the outside world, and the ’60s, and sex and drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, and stuff that really you would not associate with the Queen of England.”

Season two will be based between 1956 and 1964, during the time of numerous claims of Prince Philip’s affairs in his marriage with the Queen.

There will also be new characters joining the show. One very important new cast member is Micheal C. Hall who will play the U.S. President, John F. Kennedy. His on-screen wife, Jackie Kennedy, will be played by Jodi Balfour.

Many new challenges will be faced in season two of “The Crown,” so log onto your Netflix accounts on Dec. 8 and binge all 10 episodes to see what happens.
