Netflix granted fans another season of Stranger Things near the end of October. This second season, written by Matt and Ross Duffer, picks up a year after the ending of season one.
Last season ended with Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, using her special abilities to kill the Demogorgon in order to save her friends. She then disappears and isn’t seen again until later in the beginning of season two.
According to Rotten Tomatoes 93% of viewers liked the new season, giving the show a 4.6 out of 5 stars.
Starting a year after the event with Eleven, the boys struggled to get back into their normal routines. Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp, had an especially hard time after coming out of the Upside-Down. The season builds up his struggles of returning back home as well as shows that there is a greater enemy ready to attack.
So far, audiences have given positive feedback on the show’s balance of horror, humor and suspense.
It is clear that the show is definitely binge-worthy. Viewers are already waiting for the next upcoming season to be released. There is no telling what next year’s season will show but the suspense is definitely haunting fans.
