Phantom of the Opera sells out

Phantom of the Opera is known for being the longest and most entertaining show on Broadway.

Southern Miss in Hattiesburg has brought the show closer to home. The performance is being held at the Mannoni Performing Arts Center Auditorium on campus October 26 through November 4. The production is directed by Dr. Mike Lopinto, with music direction by Dr. Jay Dean and Dr. Michael Miles, featuring a cast of talented acting, singing and dancing students from Southern Miss School of Music and the venerable USM Symphony Orchestra. A little bit of Jones will also be included by Melanie Eubanks, JCJC art teacher, who is the scenic assistant.

Thanks to many fans, the production is sold out for every show. Last week’s performances were definitely one for the books. Even though this week is a sell-out, fans can still support USM for bringing a well-known Broadway production closer for everyone to see.
