“The Search for Everything” is John Mayer’s most recently released album, available on April 14. This is his first album released since 2013, making it a hit or miss opportunity.
Some haven’t been too impressed by Mayer’s recent releases due to overly cliche lyrics, publicized songs and lack of creativity. Pitchfork rated his new album with a 4.9/10.
However, some believe “The Search for Everything” to be a beautifully made and smooth album. This tells one that the album is just for the right people, typically already existing Mayer fans.
Whatever view one may have on Mayer, newly released albums are at least worth listening to, even just once.
