The Grammys, held on Feb. 12, has sparked a very humorous rumor. Adele, English singer and songwriter, won five Grammys that night. However, during her emotional speech, she said, “I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled, and I’m very grateful and gracious, but the artist of my life is Beyoncé.”
This caused a plethora of rumors to start, believing that Adele would actually be giving half of her Grammy to Beyoncé. Social media was on fire, posting images of Adele with half of her Grammy in the air. So, did Adele really give Beyoncé half? Well, it is sadly too good to be true. Adele’s fifth Grammy award just broke easily. After her speech, Adele was seen backstage replacing her broken award with a new one. Even after the Grammys, she can be seen with all five of her awards in photos.
Although there were several disappointments after knowing the truth, it is still nice of Adele to actually speak out that Beyoncé deserves more Grammy awards. Some might even say it is an improved form of Kanye expressing how Beyoncé should’ve won to Taylor Swift a few years back.
