Now that Thanksgiving is over, the Christmas events begin. Mason Park in Laurel will begin to light up the Christmas lights for people to admire and stroll through. Collins will host Christmas in the Park beginning Dec. 3 to showcase the state-wide famous lights.
Christmas festivals and parades will begin in both Laurel and Hattiesburg. The Laurel Christmas Parade will take place Dec. 3, while the Hattiesburg Christmas Parade will be held Dec. 1. Collins will also have a Christmas Parade on Dec. 1.
Hattiesburg will host a Christmas Arts Market following the parade on the same day.
