WikiLeaks founder arrested in London

On April 11, Julian Assange, the founder of wikileaks, was arrested at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. The arrest took place nearly seven years after Assange took refuge there.

According to the Washington Post, British authorities said he was, “arrested on behalf of the United States authorities.”

He was arrested for “conspiring in 2010 with Chelsea Manning, a U.S. Army Intelligence analyst…” Manning went to prison for a period of time for being a whistleblower. She is no longer in prison.

This isn’t the first controversy that Assange has been a part of. It is not likely that it will be his last.
