Jones Cosmetology is now taking clients. Flyers across campus announce the returning services that the department offers. All services are performed by students and are part of training, so Cosmetology instructor Sylvina Buckley will oversee and inspect all work done.
Buckley said that the students in training are excited to get experience and extra practice in style and in business on campus.
The Cosmetology Department is located in the Home and Health Building and is open to the public Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. and welcomes walk-ins.
“A variety of services are available, including a lot of hair care services,” said Buckley.
Additionally, Buckley said that prices cannot be put out publicly, but quotes can be given over the phone. The students have been spending time practicing and preparing for clients, so be sure to pay a visit for a haircut, perm, color or any other service.
